This website is operated by Worldly Escapes. Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Worldly Escapes. Worldly Escapes offers this website, including all information, tools and services available from this site to you, the user, conditioned upon your acceptance of all terms, conditions, policies and notices stated here.


By visiting our site and/ or purchasing travel arrangements from us, you engage in our “Service” and agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions (“Terms of Service”, “Terms”), including those additional terms and conditions and policies referenced herein and/or available by hyperlink. These Terms of Service apply to all users of the site, including without limitation users who are browsers, vendors, customers, merchants, and/ or contributors of content.


Please read these Terms of Service carefully before accessing or using our website. By accessing or using any part of the site, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to all the terms and conditions of this agreement, then you may not access the website or use any services. If these Terms of Service are considered an offer, acceptance is expressly limited to these Terms of Service.


You can review the most current version of the Terms of Service at any time on this page. We reserve the right to update, change or replace any part of these Terms of Service by posting updates and/or changes to our website. It is your responsibility to check this page periodically for changes. Your continued use of or access to the website following the posting of any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.


By agreeing to these Terms of Service, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence, or that you are the age of majority in your state or province of residence and you have given us your consent to allow any of your minor dependents to use this site. You confirm that you have the authority to book travel services on behalf of yourself and on behalf of all those included in your booking.


A breach or violation of any of the Terms will result in an immediate termination of your Services.

 

Worldly Escapes acts as a travel agency only. The services that make up your travel are provided by independent third-party travel partners including, but not limited to, airlines, hotels, cruise lines, car rentals, tour operators, and travel insurance, (“Travel Supplier(s)”). When obtaining services from Worldly Escapes you also agree to the terms & conditions of the respective Travel Suppliers that are providing the travel product you are purchasing. The rules & regulations and terms & conditions of these Travel Suppliers can be found on their official websites. If you need help locating these terms, we can provide the same to you prior to making your reservation.

PLANNING FEES, DEPOSITS AND FINAL PAYMENT:


Planning Fees


During an initial complimentary consultation we will discuss options for your trip that best suit your interests and travel style. Our fee for service structure allows us to devote the time and expertise necessary to research and negotiate the best options for our clients. Since we are not affiliated with any cruise, hotel or tour company, we work for our clients, not the travel vendors.


Customized Itineraries


Trip research and planning fee starting at $350 +tax per household, which is non-refundable and non-­transferable. This fee is due after the initial consultation and prior to initiating trip planning. The trip fee includes consultation, research, planning, and quote preparation.

Quick trips (less than 5 days) or single travelers have a planning fee of $150 + tax per household


Escorted Tours only


Worldly Escapes waives the planning fee for established clients on Escorted Tours only bookings where the client has picked the destination and route.  For pre- and post- tour itineraries, fees will vary depending on complexity and duration.


Airline tickets


These fees are in addition to any cancellation or change fees charged by airlines, cruise lines, hotels, tour operators or other vendors as outlined in their terms and conditions. No additional fees will be charged by Worldly Escapes on travel canceled by the vendor.


FlightsAny tickets issued/reissued/cancelled will require a $50 (domestic) and $100 (international) ticket reissue or exchange fee, in addition to any supplier-imposed penalties. 

 


Deposits:

Unless otherwise stated on a client invoice, non-refundable deposit of 25% of the total trip land cost is required to confirm your reservations. Some properties require a higher non-refundable deposit at the time of booking and additional booking forms may be required by individual vendors. All airfare needs to be paid in full at the time of issuing.  By paying a deposit you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. 


Unless otherwise stated on a client invoice,  the balance of your trip cost is required 90 days prior to your departure date. Reservations made within 90 days of departure require immediate full payment at the time of booking. If final and full payment is not received by the applicable due date, reservations are subject to cancellation and deposits shall be forfeited. There is NO REFUND once a booking is made and paid for, unless specified by the Travel Supplier.

 

Cancellations and Changes Fees:

In the event of cancellation at any time, the deposit and any fees are non-refundable. Cancellation within 90 days of travel will result in a 100% cancellation fee. 


Change fees: $100 per change. Fees are in addition to any cancellation or change fees charged by airlines, cruise lines, hotels, tour operators or travel suppliers.



PAYMENT AGREEMENT:


The credit cardholder and/or payor (if payment is made via email money transfer) on the booking is who Worldly Escapes has the contract/agreement with and is who we are liable to. By providing Worldly Escapes with your credit card you are authorizing us to use your credit card to pay for travel services and you are confirming that you will pay the total amount charged according to your cardholder agreement. In addition, you agree not to chargeback your payment for the travel services you receive. By sending Worldly Escapes an email money transfer, you are authorizing us to book and pay for travel services.


Please note that Travel Suppliers use different merchants to process credit card payments. Authorized Transactions may be different from the amount you actually paid as some merchants require a temporary hold to be placed on additional funds. The correct amount will display when the transaction is shown as ‘posted’.


Please be advised that no rates or space can be held, and no portion of your travel booking will be confirmed until full payment is received.


In the event the Travel Supplier is unable to provide the services for which you have contracted and paid for, you understand and accept that this is beyond the control of Worldly Escapes, and up to the Travel Supplier to remedy in accordance with their terms & conditions, and you agree you will not chargeback your credit card regardless of whether it was processed directly through the Travel Supplier or through Worldly Escapes and their head office, Trevello Travel Group. If you attempt to seek a chargeback on your credit card, you agree to be held liable and indemnify Worldly Escapes against this chargeback from the Travel Supplier including without limitation, any costs that Worldly Escapes incurs, including but not limited to legal fees to recover any payments charged back to your credit card company. You agree that you will be liable for these costs. 


NO REFUND FOR UNUSED ARRANGEMENTS. As Worldly Escapes prices are oftentimes based on contract rates, there will not be any refund for any unused portion of a travel booking. Some group tours are based on minimum numbers of passengers traveling; if the number of passengers falls below the minimum required, a surcharge may be imposed or the tour canceled.

 


Travel Insurance

We highly recommend that you purchase comprehensive accident, medical, baggage and trip cancellation insurance when you make your trip deposit; please contact us for a quote. Some countries and tour operators may require insurance as part of their booking policy and will be advised at the time of booking. Please be advised that if you decline to purchase Trip Insurance, we will not be held responsible for any financial disappointment caused by reasons beyond our control.

 

Airline Tickets

Airline tickets are either non-refundable or have substantial change/cancellation penalties. Please check that the names that are to appear on your air tickets coincide with the names on your passports. We will not be held responsible for incorrect names on tickets, and/or any fees associated with correcting them. Due to enhanced security, it is strongly recommended that you check in a minimum of 2 hours prior to scheduled departure for domestic flights and 3 hours prior to scheduled departure time for international flights. Review flight times at least 24 hours prior to scheduled departure time for domestic flights, and 72 hours prior for international flights. Failure to use a reservation may result in automatic cancelation of all continuing and return flights, as well as forfeiture of airfares.


Please review the details of your airline ticket as it pertains to information on, but not limited to, Hazardous Materials & Insecticides and other travel regulations.

 

Travel Documentation

All travelers are required to have a valid passport from their country of citizenship with an expiration date of at least 6 months from date of return from your trip.


Advance visas may be required for certain countries and travelers with certain passports. Visa fees are not included and are the responsibility of the traveler to apply for and obtain.


Any minors traveling must have notarized permission from both parents; if traveling with one parent, then notarized permission from the parent who is not traveling is required. Health/Security Regulations

Each Customer is responsible to make certain to have the proper immunizations and required documentation of such immunizations before travel, and to make the necessary accommodation for security rules imposed by government authorities. Worldly Escapes shall not assume responsibility for the accuracy of health requirements or vaccination and/or documentation prior to departure or upon landing at the final destination. See your health practitioner for advice. It is the traveler’s responsibility to ensure they have the right documentation including but not limited to Covid testing and vaccination certificates printed and/or electronic, online health forms, pre-arrival forms, travel insurance, cellphone apps or other tracking systems each country has implemented.

 

It is up to you to contact the Consulate, Embassy, or government website of your travel destination and airline to ensure you have the correct documents to enter every country you will visit. Some countries have restrictions on travel from other destinations. Although your Worldly Escapes agent will have provided you with relevant information, from the information that we know as related to what we have booked for you, it is your responsibility to be aware and prepared for all legal, documentation, health and other requirements of the destination you are traveling to. This includes appropriate documentation to return to Canada. It is your responsibility to review the standards of living and travelling in your selected destination as their standards may not be the same as we are accustomed to in North America. 

 

Worldly Escapes assumes no responsibility if you choose to travel to countries under travel advisories. Your health and safety is of utmost importance to us, please refer to the Government of Canada Travel and Tourism website -  https://travel.gc.ca/ . Please note that travel protection, as a whole, does not cover known risks, health or otherwise, and you assume full responsibility and liability regardless of where you want to travel. 



ADDITIONAL TRAVELLER RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

You are responsible for providing Worldly Escapes with proper and correct personal information required to create your booking with the Travel Supplier(s) and any errors, omissions, spelling mistakes or other errors or omissions, made by you that you provided to us, resulting in change or cancellation fees, or refusal of travel by the airline, cruise line, hotel, or immigration authorities, are solely your responsibility. Please review your invoice, tickets, and documents thoroughly. It is your obligation to have a valid passport, visa and/or other travel documentation required. We will assume all travelers on the booking have valid Canadian passports. You are required to inform Worldly Escapes if this is not the case. Any fines, penalties, payments, or expenditures incurred as a result of said documents not meeting the requirements of any regulatory authorities are your sole responsibility.


If for any reason, any Travel Supplier is unable to provide the services for which you have contracted, it is up to the Travel Supplier(s) to remedy according to their terms & conditions and not the responsibility of Worldly Escapes. We do not represent that any travel products or services will be suitable for you or meet your expectations and we do not accept legal liability for Travel Suppliers acts or omissions.


Worldly Escapes assumes no responsibility for the actions of Travel Suppliers, including but not limited to: overbooking, route changes, cancellations, or delays. Worldly Escapes shall not be liable for any damages or loss due to theft, illness, labor disruptions, acts of God "force majeure", mechanical failure, equipment failure, pandemics or epidemics, rescheduling, government action, war, insurgency or act of terrorism, weather, or any other event that is beyond our control.


Worldly Escapes relies on the information that is provided by the Travel Suppliers to assist you in making an informed decision but cannot guarantee the accuracy thereof. All personal travel requests of any kind, such as room location/bed type, that are not specified directly by the Travel Supplier at time of booking. are not guaranteed.


General Conditions

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time.


All rates are quoted in Canadian dollars unless specified otherwise, and are subject to change. For BC and Ontario residents, in accordance with CP and TICO regulations, if there is an increase of more than seven per cent (7%) in the price of services after a deposit has been paid for, and such price increase does not result from an increase in government taxes or a fuel surcharge allowed by the Canadian Transportation Agency, you have the right to cancel and receive a full refund. We shall not be liable to you or to any third-party for any modification, price change, suspension or discontinuance of the service.


All descriptions of products or product pricing are subject to change at any time without notice, at the sole discretion of us.


Covid protocols of entry requirements, testing, safety and hygiene are being adhered to in airports, hotels, transport and other service providers including but not limited to masks, sanitizer, vaccination or testing documentation, reduced capacity and operating hours. As changes to government policies can happen fast, we are not responsible if the traveler is not able to enjoy all the components of his or her journey.

 


Website And Social Media


You agree not to reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell or exploit any portion of the Service, use of the Service, or access to the Service or any contact on the website through which the service is provided, without express written permission by us.


You may not use our products for any illegal or unauthorized purpose nor may you, in the use of the Service, violate any laws in your jurisdiction (including but not limited to copyright laws).


You must not transmit any worms or viruses or any code of a destructive nature.


We are not responsible if information made available on this site is not accurate, complete or current. The material on this site is provided for general information only and should not be relied upon or used as the sole basis for making decisions without consulting primary, more accurate, more complete or more timely sources of information. Any reliance on the material on this site is at your own risk.


Certain content, products and services available via worldlyescapes.com may include materials from third-parties. Third-party links on this site may direct you to third-party websites that are not affiliated with us. We are not responsible for examining or evaluating the content or accuracy and we do not warrant and will not have any liability or responsibility for any third-party materials or websites, or for any other materials, products, or services of third-parties.


Occasionally there may be information on our site that contains typographical errors, inaccuracies or omissions that may relate to product descriptions, pricing and availability. We reserve the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions, and to change or update information if any information is inaccurate at any time without prior notice.


We undertake no obligation to update, amend or clarify information, including without limitation, pricing information, except as required by law. No specified update or refresh date applied should be taken to indicate that all information has been modified or updated.


Indemnification


You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Worldly Escapes and our parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, partners, officers, directors, agents, contractors, licensors, service providers, subcontractors, suppliers, interns and employees, harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, made by any third-party due to or arising out of your breach of these Terms of Service or the documents they incorporate by reference, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third-party.


Governing Law


These Terms of Service and any separate agreements whereby we provide you Services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of British Columbia, Canada.
